I just bought a 2015 Mazda 3 S Grand Touring . Can anyone tell me the best way to hook up a radar detector. The only power plug in the arm rest is always on and I don't want to run my battery down.

Every detector I've seen has an On/Off switch, use that. Or you can easily disconnect the power cable from the unit when not in use...

'14 CX-5 GT. I have at least a 20 year old Escort/Passport battery operated (2 AA) that I clip to my drivers sun visor.
Was on my motorcycle dash with Velcro, but with the CX-5 visor mount and the 4" of dark window tint atop the windshield it is hard to see from outside the car.
Has saved me many times!
