Got my 3 last year and since I've been having health difficulties so that became a problem while driving on the highway.
Long story short I found a video on youtube on how to upgrade your existing 3 non cruise control to a cruise.
I have a electronic throttle body, I bought a steering wheel with buttons for cruise and a 4pin brake switch.
Before I go and tear my steering wheel down I wanna know if this will work because in the video I mentioned i saw the dude showing a button mechanism with all wires on the jack.
Mine has all the wires except the second to last one, the one that the dude in the video grounded to the existing ground.
Pictures are attached, any help would be greatly appriciated.
PS I don't know if its important the dude was from the USA and I am in Europe, so I was thinking maybe theres some differences because of the different market the cars were made for...
Thanks!
Marko The jack i mentioned The button mechanism The brake switch
Not sure what year your Mazda is you didn’t post that important information, but……your Mazda is ECU controls the throttle body threw your drive-by-wire so unless your ECU has the programing for a cruise control not sure how just adding the module power switch panel will suddenly
activate cruise control operations.
The ECU programing is also different from country of original manufacturer origin.Sorry I have no clue what your baseline origin is because you did not state what country your are from but based on the limited information your Mazda basic programing is likely GB based which would also cover many none USA ECU programing.

It actually works, so Your brake switch harness has to have 4 wires going to the jack, as far as I understand that means the 3 is ready for a cruise regarding the wire and software, just needs the 4pin brake switch and steering wheel buttons.
I've tested it and it works as intended, its going to be a great upgrade regarding my medical condition!
