Default fuel pump failure when fueled

Hey all! I don't know if this has been posted yet or not but here's the issue. When I fuel my 2007 mazda 3 the car won't start for a bit. It takes a few cycles of me cranking and turning the key off. I've found that if I push the accelerator while I'm cranking it'll start quicker but I don't want to keep cranking and burn my starter up. Any clue as to what's going on?

I'm going to guess it has nothing to do with our fuel pump and everything to do with your EVAP system. Do you perchance fill the tank up beyond the automatic click-off?

I'm still inclined to think your EVAP system is the issue. Why? As a general rule fuel pumps either work, or they don't.

So, your starting issue is only directly after re-fueling? Never at any other time, place, or fuel level?

Yes, only when I put gas in my tank.
