i did buy the racloz shifter BUT i didn't hear good feedback on the shifter. The Ralcoz shifter sits toward the driver a bit more or LIKE the mazdaspeed short shifter and it doesn't make the throws shorter, it sits at the same level as the stock shifter does so i asked the guy for a refund because it doesn't sound like something i want. I want a SHORT shifter not a reg shifter with the stick pointing towards me. im also on mazda3forums.com you'll see about the ralco shifter there, a member over on that forum bought his before i did after i mentioned about it and he didn't like it.

Exhaust or short shifter? thats an odd question to me.. like asking whether to get a ferrari or a kia? if u have the money go for the ferrari... In my opinion if your going to get a good exhaust your going to spend considerably more than you would spend on a decent short shifter, exhaust gives you more horsepower, short shifter only helps response time, what good is that without a fast car?

Realistically the short shifter will yield you better acceleration times. You can put an aftermarket exhaust on your car, and it might get a little more power, but without tuning you're not really getting the full effect that the exhaust could give you.

However, by shortening the time between shifts 1-2 and 2-3, you can easily shave a couple of tenths off of your 0-60 times.
