ehaust is for a nice tone whereas a shortshifter actually gives you better performance through shifting. I say go with the shortshifter. you can be a "sleeper" car

i'd leave the exhaust for later. short shifters are the way to go - it makes driving the mazda even more of a pleasure

id go with the exhaust. it delivers greater performance enhancement over the shifter.

...what a hard decission to make, i really like the feel of a short shifter or at least the feel of the one in my buddys mustang, but then again i do want performance and can get a exhaust for 100$ more ($300) with installation and hi- flow cat and what not.

I will settle this for you right now... get BOTH! haha

that way there is no regret that you purchased the wrong thing when you wanted the other... how's that sound?
