Default engine swap into a mazda 3 seden

is it possibly to swap this engine into the mazda 3 seden

lol. Just get the Hiboost turbo kit for your car, or sell & buy a Speed3. Why would you want to go with an older engine like that?

W/emission laws as they are, you can't/shouldn't put an older engine in. Newer is OK, but not older.
Why would you want to anyway? Its a 1.8 w/about 130hp on a good day vs. the 2.0 w/at least 138hp, or the 2.3 w/at least 156?

I'm pretty sure it's a speed engine with 170 hp.

Ah! So it is. That's what I get when I try to look at technical pictures on my VERY small, and slow laptop on a very limited lunch break.
Sorry, 'bout that.
But what I said still goes. From a legal, emissions standpoint, older is no good. Newer is OK.
