Angry Driver Airbag Light

So my driver (airbag) light came on...again.. but this time its staying on for longer than usual. Usually it comes on for about three or four days then, out of no where, and just shuts its self off and never see it again for months. This time its been on now for about a week and doesn't seem to shut off this time...I need suggestions quick i'm getting close to my 100,000 mile warranty, even if its covered or not. I'm thinking it might be the module that connects to the bottom of the drivers seat because if i ever have some sit behind me in the back seat and they stick their feet underneath and accidentally kick it or even slightly touch it for that matter it seems to make the light go on however, like i said before, it usually ends up turning off after a couple of days.

Does anyone know where the driver (SRS)(ABS)(airbag)((whatever you want to call it)) module is located at?

I know the passenger one sits underneath the cup holders in the middle counsel and it is a bia to get to and is ironically strapped in with Velcro(sp?)

I don't know why people don't just go to the dealer as soon as a light comes on...

some people like to do the work themselves, or try to at least lol.

i dont like working on any electrical stuff...i leave that for the dealer.

I ask because it could be a simple fix that does not require the dealer. plus the dealers around here are slllloooowww if i took my car in for an oil change they'd probably get back to me in a week or longer. plus if it is something major i don't have a grand to spend on a new air bag control unit if its not covered under warranty which i'm pretty sure isn't because it isn't part of the drive train.

My question still stands, however, where is the ABS module

The thing is, I understand the desire to fix things yourself.

THIS IS THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. DONT FOCK WITH IT. IT COULD MALFUNCTION AND NOT WORK

...or worse, you could make it deploy and then what... Still have a problem and you need new bags.

I understand that. If the light is on, it isn't going to deploy, if you disconnect the battery while working on it, it won't deploy. The absolute worse case senerio here is that it deploys on its own with the light on for no reason what so ever.

Like I said before I'm just looking to know where its at. I'm not looking to do surgery on the air bag system. Just the info.
