Default The Clutch!

Found a Mazda 3 Grand Touring with everything in it for a good price. Hopped into the driver seat with a smile on my face but couldn't find the clutch...until much to my dismay I had been pushing it down the whole time! In all seriousness I'm afraid if I get this thing and don't drive it for a few weeks the dust that collects will depress the clutch alone. What is the deal with this. I know some people perfer that kind of thing but I can barely feel it. The redeeming value of it is that on the way back up, during enagament, there is a very sensitive feel of the process which I like.

Is there a spring I can replace to make it more stiff? Anything?

Am I the only one that feels this way?

Mine does not feel that light. Maybe there is a problem with that one.

Okay, did you just push the clutch in and out, or did you actually drive the car? I can definitely tell when I'm pushing my clutch in, though I will say it's a huge difference from the leg workout on my old cars ('88 ranger, '86 sentra, and of course the '79 Chevette I learned on).

I test drove it for about 40 minutes. It's something I can get used to, I was just very startled. I've never felt something that light. I'm used to an 87 Maxima and an 05 Mustang GT, but I've driven lots of other manual cars.

It's much lighter than a Mustang clutch for sure...I've driven plenty of those.
