Clock Display
I have an 06 Mazda 3i with single cd player. What is the media button used for. I read on another post it was used to change temp fro celsius to fareheit, after seeing that did not work, the clocks time went backwards by half an hour, this has happened on other occassions before, without pressing buttons. The weather has not been freezing, I am in the Phoenix metro are, and it has not been overly hot, so I dont know what could cause a problem like this to happen. Could it be a problem with the radio itself. If the stock radio is replaced with an aftermarket stereo, will the steering wheel controls still operate it?.
Just an observation by the way, I took this pic with my camera phone while driving down Scottsdale Road. This is nice to see, A Mazda 6, me in my Mazda 3, and another Mazda 6 behind me, the same color as the one in front.

RE: Clock Display
i have a 2004 3s. i got the same problem today. i was driving in to work this morning. i left at 5:14 am and got in my car, it said 5:44 am. mine jumped ahead, not backwards. i really think that the 3 is bugged. it was a great car for a whole year. then it just went down hill... just decided to share with you that you weren't the only one. oh yeah, i'm in NC not hot at all here. and this morning was not even cold.

RE: Clock Display
The Media button is not used for anything else yet but expect that it probably will be in the future. Is maybe used in non North American markets. To change from 'F to 'C, make sure the radio is turned on and amb temp is displayed. While pressing and holding the 'Power' button, press and hold the 'Media' button for at least 5 seconds. Release the 'Media' button and then the 'Power' button and display should change.
An aftermarket audio unit will probably not be compatible with steering wheel controls unless it is specifically designed to all those inputs.
Have never run accross problem with time skipping around and not really sure where clock controler is but suspect it is probably in the LCD screen itself. Should be a warrantable repair anyways.
