what do you guys suggest i do about "checking" my engine since my car is telling me to. should i get one of those diagnosic tests, or will it just say that ive messed with the air filter ie:intake installation. or could it be something more? suggestions?

 

Go to an auto parts store and borrow a code reader. Get the code and you'll at least know what it's flagging.
