I washed my car in the afternoon and drove for about 10 miles? (not sure) When I pulled up to my driveway I shut of the engine to unload stuff from my trunk. I was then gonna park my car to a different spot and when i tried to start the car, it cranked but didnt start. I put the key in the off position and tried again. THE CAR STARTED RIGHT AWAY! no CEL or anything. I Was wondering if anyone has any idea what could have happened? I drive a 2005 mazda3i ATX, I just hit 15000 miles.

 

How long did you crank the engine the first time when it would not start?

 

about 2-3 seconds. longer than usual. I used to be able to just turn the key and wait, maybe half a second and it would start right away.
