Car totaled - now what???
#11
Thanks for the kind words all. I've never had a black car before - so we'll see how I am able to deal with it. The seats are cloth - so that should help. I can park it in the garage every night and our annual rainfall is 11"/yr. - so it shouldn't get rained on very often. BTW - got the windows tinted yesterday and it is now quite the black beauty.
I was raised in TX, virgin1 - and I think I would have thought a little harder about black if I still lived there. Red and Yellow, virgin1? - those colors would've been cop magnets.
I had some major life changes this year along with the car getting totaled - so some of my sensible thinking went out the window. Heck - I'm just gonna have some fun for now.

And petroxg, I'm guessing your 3 is the pearl white, CRYSTAL WHITE PEARL MICA to be exact. That DOES show dirt more than a monotone white does.
Case in point: My co-worker/subordinate drives a 2005 MPV in... you guessed it, pearl white (WhiteWater Pearl.) If we wash our cars on the same weekend and drive through the same weather, her MPV will look flat and dull long before my Rally white (no pearl or metallic) will.
That is the difference. There's something to be said for the simple (or plain) things in life.

I think you are absolutely right about my Crystal White Pearl 3 virgin1. Never thought about it that way. I still like the extra shine and reflections from white pearl though.
Eitherway, PAC, go for your zoom-zoom and have fun!
