What about a HD radio upgrade? if you are chnaging the Head unit to incorporate Satellite (XM) why not also get HD radio?? Can you do that. In all the years that I've had cars, and that's over 38 years, I've never upgraded the radio/head unit in any of the cars. So I'm asking some real basic questions here. Thanks for your patience.

Sure. Sometimes I've thought about it but don't really have the spare cash right now. Plus I just bought me an HDTV so that hampers things too lol.

So yeah you could. Like satellite radio, however, you can't just buy the radio and HAZAA! it works. No... you have to separately get a tuner box and antenna that works with the head unit, just like satellite basically.

Knuckhead: Did the head unit come with a subwoofer? And then you just used the existing speakers?
