A.C. compressor leaked refrigerant all out the back of it
on my 2010 mazda3 2.5 s my ac fill valve started leaking it leaked everything out so about a week later i bought another shader (however its spelled) valve replaced it and then i went to refill it with more freon. it should have taken more than a can, but it only took 1/4 of a can i filled it kept it in the green. Then drove back home. Air still sucked was not really all that cold either. Went inside house came out to go somewhere about 2 hrs later. went to go start the car and poof big cloud of white what seemed to be smoke came all out from under my hood. shut off the car opened the hood and i guess my pressure release valve i saw was streaming out all the freon. i had just put in it. totally screwed up. what the hell happened. if i emptied all the freon because of the bad valve should it not have taken like two cans or so? and it only took like 1/4 can and then my pressure release valve blew? i dont get it, did the compressor take a ****? do i have a hose blocked? What could be wrong with it. now it was a hot day i did what the book said to refill it. and kept it in the green on the gauge. if that release blows does that mean the compressor is destroyed? any help would be appreciated please and thank you. I'm on a fixed income so i cant afford to take it in right now to a shop.
Time to take your Mazda to a qualified service shop for your HVAC system service and repair BEFOR you cause damage to your Mazda or yourself.
Sorry dude but you have no clue what you are doing! And from the read borderline blowing up your HVAC system!
okay forget all that and you are right i dont know what iim doing but here are two pics of where it was leaking from or where it blew. thats on the back of the compressor. is that a pressure release to protect against internal failure?
