Default Brake fluid

So we're doing some brake work on the 2008 and I noticed the maintenance schedule does not call for brake fluid flush. Are you folks changing out the brake fluid in the Gen.1? I always thought any car with ABS likes brake fluid changed every 2 or 3 years. Don't want to do extra work.
We're doing rear brake replace, likely parking brake cables as well.

For DOT 3 applications (including your car), regardless of manufacturer, every three years. For DOT 4 applications, every two years.

Mazda's schedule should be every two years or 40,000kms / 24,000 miles whichever you reach first.
