I just won a 60gig iPod video - pretty cool but now I need to buy one of these iPod kits for my 2006 3. I am looking at the Audio Link one because I would rather my passengers be able to use the iPod controls to select music as well as me being able to skip through with my steering wheel controls. Unfortunately it looks like the AXXESS can't use the iPod controls at all. Anyway I am trying to decide which Audio Link to get and I can't figure out why I would need the one with the RCA video out. It says that it's for video iPods but what do you do with it? Connect it to an external LCD screen in your car to watch movies? Then I guess the sound goes over your car stereo? That's my question - sorry if it's obvious.

You got it. The video output would run to a screen, and audio would come out of the speakers.
