I have a 2017 Mazda 3 and I just replaced the seat airbag. The airbag light is now on in the dashboard.
Is there a software I can use or a tool to use to reset without taking out the module? It might be expensive in the dealership.

it requires a professional grade diagnostic scanner. these run NEW STARTING FROM SEVERAL HUNDRED TO INTO THE THOUSAND DOLLAR RANGE AND USED ONE ARE A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS IF YOU CAN VARIFY THEY AR STILL IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND CONDITION.

We charge the basic one-hour labor fee as most shops do to do the service. I will mention that because you DIY the AIR bag replacement you may need to sign a waiver/disclaimer form before any service shops does the calibration.

For the OP and all other reading this, should you decide to service your SRS on your vehicle you should check the details of any calibration or resetting needed in advance to make sure you can find a service shop even the dealer to do that part of the service. Not all will because you DIY and it is SRS.
