Airbag Codes, Short to Ground
2012 Mazda 3 Hatch
I recently replaced the driver and passenger retractors, reset the module, new driver bag, and new dash. After plugging everything in I am getting the code "short to ground" for all of them. I did some research and think that maybe the clock spring needs replaced...anyone know what the issue might be? I also checked all of the connections and they seem to be good. Any help will be appreciated!

What's the actual fault code?
Why did you replace the listed components?
You can't "reset" the SRS control module.
If its been in a crash, & triggered the pretensioners & Airbag, the module will also require replacement & reprogramming.

Because the car was in an accident and I rebuild.
Yes you can. The crash codes needs to be cleared.
Everything is repairable and is able to be reset (other than bags obviously). I chose to buy new seatbelts because it cost the same to get them repaired. When the module detects an accident you can send it off to a company (theres quite a few out there) and they are able to clear the crash codes (this is different from using your OBD scanner and clearing the light). No need to purchase a new module. Ive been doing this for years but for some reason this time I am getting short to ground codes. I am wondering if the clock spring needs replaced as well.
