I just purchased the 2024 Mazda 3 hatchback. I use google connect to stream music from Spotify.
I can connect automatically, and music stats playing. But if I hit the music or Map button the volume drops a little.

I tried turning off the background sound buffer setting, but still happens.

Is this normal with the system, or something wrong?

Try playing around with the sound settings or music settings menu more to see if that would fix the issue.

This might be dangerous or stupid, but could you try disabling or turning off the voice directions on maps?

 

This had no effect. Still lowers when the menu changes.
