2014 Mazda 3 Hatch Rust?
Hello,
I am new to Mazda although I have liked them for a long time. It is now time I am looking at a new car and the third-gen looks like a really great car. It has easily landed a top spot on my list of contenders.
However, rust is a huge concern of mine. I have read countless stories going both ways on whether it's been fixed or not. As well the fact that Mazda has already issued a recall for the handbrake due to rust problems is not promising. I can guarantee I am not going to wash the underside once a week (More Likely once a year or less) and I do live in Michigan where the roads are salted heavily a large portion of the year.
So with that said, what is the deal. Are the people complaining about rust on these cars just a minority of unlucky owners that managed to get a bad QC car? or is it going to be a major problem that will seriously degrade the resale value of the car?
