Default 2009 Mazda3 s Grand Touring Considerations

I'm about to conclude the purchase on one of these (hatchback, automatic) with 130k miles on it. Any considerations or recommendation of things I should do/check right away or in the near future?

The 2.3 liter engine in car does not have the greatest reputation for long term reliability. If I was to buy the car you're looking at, I'd budget for a swap to the Ford Duratec 2.5 liter engine (basically a twin externally to the 2.3, but with very significant internal upgrades).

I was leaning more towards smaller stuff other than the obvious maintenance with filters, fluids, etc. This is just a car to drive me to work; we have an SUV for the family.
