Hello everyone! I am new here, but have been familiar to the Mazda 3 for a few years now. Back in 2007, my cousin bought a 2007 Mazda 3 2.3 and now it is having some significant issues. The first one being the computer is shot. A friend of my cousin who is a mechanic, has said that the computer must be replaced. Another issue is that the engine is now knocking. It is a strange, intermittent knocking. When I started the car, it was completely silent and sounded normal. Then, it progressively got louder, then I revved it a little bit and got very loud. I have tried to include a video of the sound, but I am unsure if it would work.
