Hi all, I'm new to this site. I have a 2008 Mazda 3 with 140k miles. I have had no problems with this car until now. Car got stuck in third gear. At light came on and engine light. Brought it to a local tranny shop instead of dealer. Code came up P0758. They didn't check the TCM instead told me I needed a rebuilt tranny at a cost of 3k. Well, after the rebuild, still same problem. Then they decided to check the TCM and guess what, it's faulty. Want to charge me another 600 bucks. My argument is that they should have never rebuilt the tranny and took me for 3k. Tranny place says I would have need a new tranny anyway. Thoughts?
