2007 Mazda 3 Mass Airflow sensor problem
Hello Mazda fans,
I have a 2007 Mazda 3 2.3L. My smog check is coming up soon but my engine light is on. The diagnostic says the problem is with the mass air flow sensor the code is P0101. However I've bought a few sensors from Amazon and replaced them and I even clean them every time (CRC mass air flow sensor spray) but after 15-20 miles the engine light turns on again. I don't understand the issue here because I even tried not plugging in the connector to see if the issue is really from the airflow sensor but the car didn't work properly. There is no leaks or anything I clean everything properly. Please help me if you have the same issue or know what is going on I'm desperate Thanks!

How does it help with the mass air flow? Because the flow is one way only through the sensor onward. Why would I clean the intake manifold and how? Do I have to remove it or is there a way to clean it without removing it?

Best way is remove the throttle body spray intake cleaner into the throttle bore of the intake.(I do not recommend spraying through the TB directly) Let it set and dry (depending on which cleaner you use). While the throttle body is off use throttle body cleaner to clean the throttle plate and T/B bore
Intake or better term inductive system sensors are very sensitive to any dirt or even light air born oil file so routinely cleaning them will insure good registered information sent to the ECU. Don't forget to spray the connectors to all the sensors as well. USE ONLY ELECTRICAL PARTS CLEAN on any sensors or connectors.
