I have as issue where my dash will not illuminate(i know where the dimmer is) and my tail lights(parking lights) go out. My turn signal, break lights and backup lights all still work. I have checked fuses and am at a loss. I have a 2004 Mazda 3i. PLEASE HELP

 

I don't know if Mazda did the wiring the same as how Honda did wiring back in that era, but last year a chipmunk made a nest in my 2001 Accord and chewed through a wiring harness which killed off many of the interior lights, the back lighting to the dash instrumentation, and the tail lights.

The bad news was the new harness and the installation cost nearly $500.
