Default 2018 Mazda 3: i Eloop?

Hi,

I recently bought a new Mazda 3 GS, a month ago, I was wondering why my infotainment system under application is missing the iEloop graphic? I have the gas economy app, but no i Eloop graphic. Everything I read says I should have it.

I bought the car in Canada.

I'm not aware of Mazda 3 having i-eloop. I've only ever seen it on the Mazda 6.

In saying that I'm half a world away from your market.

I'm pretty sure when we were shopping for our car the i-eLoop was at least an option on the Mazda3 s GT with the automatic transmission. Never really paid much attention because my wife and I never learned how to drive a car with an automatic.

There isn't much to learn, select drive and go.

In the US, i-ELOOP regenerative braking system was dropped as an option for the 2018 Mazda3 but it looks like it is still offered in Canada. It appears that the "Fuel Economy Monitor" application may include a screen for the i-ELOOP monitor. The youtube video link below is from 2015, but may be of interest.

"The Grand Touring’s i-ELOOP regenerative braking system is also expected to be dropped which isn’t necessarily as bad thing as the option cost $800 and only had a minimal impact on fuel-efficiency."
