Is there any way to have the 12v outlet inside the arm rest to only come on when the car is running? Reason is my dashcam starts recording as soon as it has power, so in otherwords its always recording. 24/7
Didn't see any settings to change it.

 

You could but the better way is to run a dedicated and fused key actuated power cable. Chances are that you mount the dash cam in the same location all the time? Logical!
Having another power wire laying around the cockpit is just always a bad idea. But a power cable for your dash cam and run a line and tap into a key actuated fuse. This way it will be dedicated fuse circuit protected and the wire will be neatly run out of the way ready to plug into your dash cam.

I just went out and took these for you and had to dig out my extra fusible power cord. HA!
