mines grey
If your paint peeled off and you are within the warranty period (4 yr/50,000 miles), they will completely repaint your vehicle. If your dealer refuses, find another dealer or report them to the District Service Representative.

When you say "first layer" are you talking about the clear coat, or the actual base coat? Some years ago, I bought a new Corvette and had problems with the clear coat peeling.
ORIGINAL: wakeboarddude

I noticed more chipping around edges...the wierd thing is that in the middle of my drivers side door the first layer of paint just peeled off.

I dunno cause its still the same grey that shows. So i'm guessing its the clear coat. However there are other probles that took off the base coat for sure.

That sounds like an overall quality problem. I know that Mazda is very big on customer service. If the local dealer won't help you contact Mazda North America, and get the ball rolling.

Mines an 06 and no problems yet. Damn I shouldn't have typed that...I can feel it chipping away as I sit here. Sorry to hear about that it would drive me crazy. Hopefully an issue that will be corrected underwarranty.
