Instrument cluster replacement
Hello, New Menber here,
I have a 2012 2 that I bought as a salvage car a year ago. I replaced all the electrical components a year ago and have 10K on the car. The only thing that does not work is the cruse and info center, I realized I did not install the Instrument cluster with the option for the info. I changed them and the security system stopped the car from starting. How do I get the car to accept the new instrument cluster as a valid replacement part?
Thanks dj

I know that, but since the car has a salvaged title, the dealership will not touch it. I explained to the service manager and shop manager, that I would not hold them accountable, but no deal. they will not touch it. When I built the car, I used all electrical components, dash and wiring fron a 2011 touring that was totaled and put it in a 2012 Sport. Everything is interchangeable, down to the last detail. just the instrument cluster is different. I encountered a system security lock when I put the car together, but by switching the ignition on and off 5 times open and close the door 3 times and pushing the key fob to lock the doors, the security went away and the car has been running ever since.
