Changed battery in Key Fob. Car stuck in anti-theft mode
Hi, I just changed the fob battery and now the car won't start. I can unlock the car but the anti theft is on. I can't move the auto shift stick, steering wheel is locked and the brake wont press down. And pressing a request switch on the doors does not work either. The car has completely frozen itself and gone into turtle mode
It is keyless and has a turn **** to start the car rather than a push button or keyhole for the key in the ignition
I have looked at resyncing the fob as I read the sometimes changing the battery can cause it to lose communication long enough so that the fob and car as no longer synced but none of the techniques are working. Eg unlock 3 times, open and shut the door throw salt over you right shoulder etc etc.
The car is a 2008 Mazda Demio.
Do I need to take it to a service center or is there a technique I can use that is not obvious?
