Hi All,

The key fob for my 2008 Mazda 6 started flashing red and the fob no longer opens or locks the doors. The fob has unlock/lock function on it with a out folding key to start the car. I have replaced the battery and it still doesn't work. I have followed the re-program procedure turn the ignition on/off 3 times, close open the door 3 times which activates the re-program setup but when I press the fob twice in the ignition there is nothing.
I have disconnected the battery for 10 minutes hoping the fault might reset but this hasn't worked either. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance

 

How many remotes do you have? 2008 model 6's did have issues with the keyless entry module dying.
