Default Washer hoses

Just picked up an 04 or 03 tribute with the 3.0L V6 motor.....Someone replaced the hood and did not hook up the washer hose...I know it works as I can see fluid coming out from inside the passenger side fender...When looking at the bottom of the washer bottle which washer pump goes to the front???

Default Washer hose

It will be the lowest pump in washer bottle. More important that front washer to keep working so they put it lower in washer bottle than the rear pump.

That is a nice theory ......

Here is the engineering reason... (fluid mechanics) 2 fluid pumps in a tight enclosed fluid housing (tank or reservoir) mounted on the same level, should both active at the same time or very close activating each separately i.e. front and then rear all in the same motion or incidence can create cavitation in the wiper fluid reservoir causing air to be pulled into the wiper fluid lines. So mounting them at different levels generally solves this effect from happening.
