Today i went to the dealership and they told me using 4x4 is only for part time when stuck in snow.
couldn't i use 4x4 full time when driving in snow or rain?

In snow yes you can be in 4wd all the time, in rain, I wouldn't recommend it.

I agree. You should only use the 4x4 LOCK button in deeper snow. When towing a snowmobile trailer into a unplowed parking lot, I will depress the LOCK button to engage a 50-50 split in power between the front and rear wheels. I hope this prevents me from getting stuck before the AWD system kicks in...after all, the front wheels have to spin before the computer recognizes that the vehicle is stuck, and it may be too late to send power to the rear wheels.

4x4 LOCK offers you no advantage in light snow or rain. The AWD system will take care of you in those situations.
