Default New Tribute Owner

Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum. My wife and I just bought a Monterey Grey2008 Mazda Tribute iSport on yesterday and we abesolutely love it. We had test drove and considered 3 or 4 other small SUV's in the price range but this new tribute was the first one we both agreed on and didn't argue over. I didn't realize these 08's were so new that there is literally zero information on the web other than spy photos.

Hello, I am also a new Tribute owner...well...a new used Tribute owner. I always liked the Tributes, from the first time I saw them back in 2001. Came close to buying one then, in 2003, in 2006 and finally I pulled the trigger last week! I bought a 2004 LX V6 AWD with 25,000 miles on it. I paid $14,000 for it (I think that was a great deal).

Are you sure yours is a 2008? I didn't think they were out yet. I believe 2006 is the last year of the older design.

I myself am looking for any information available on these vehicles....maintenance advice, tech tips, etc.

Yep, very sure. Dealer got them 1 or 2 days before we purchased ours. It's scary that it's so new there's hardly any information on the internet other than the spy photo's.

Welcome. My wife and I also picked up an 08 as well. I feel your pain in regards to not being able to find much info on it. I'll post some pic's of it soon though it looks just like yours.

The new Tribs are definitely completely redesigned. Kind of like the more blocky nose but who thought of putting those pale yellow looking panels on the dash. Does not look bad on the cloth seat but not on the dash??

It grows on you. It did for me and if you get the black dash with the black seat covers they put yellow racing strips through the seats. Not a good look at all.
