former honda owner new mazda owner
Well I am from indianapolis i own a 2007 mazda 3 5 door, sorry not the speed. I plan on doing some small things, exhaust intake suspension and 18 or 19 wheels. Nothing to big not tryin to rice this car out or anything. Do not want a extrenely loud exhaust. I also have a question is the 04-06 mazda 3 the same on engine and suspension. because everthing i see is for 04-06 not the 07. And were does everyone buy there stuff from. The best price and the most dependable, if u know what i mean.

welcome to the forum FORBIDDEN!!
ok lets see....
the 04-06 are the same as the '07... i believe there was just a slight facelift for '07
i just installed a magnaflow catback on my car, it sounds soooo sweet. nice deep and throaty sound. plus it kinda makes a 'popping' noise when i shift. and yes, i can feel the increase in horsepower, especially when taking off from a stop.
i get my parts from a nearby tuner shop. but always do your research first!
i was originally going to get a $800 HKS catback, theni found out about magnaflow, which was $150 cheaper.
then i found a vender on a local mazdaforum (torontomazda3.ca) selling the magnaflow for $500. i saved $300 there. so enough for a intake now!!
if i were you, i'd stick with 18" wheels, any bigger, and you'd get a rough ride with lowering springs.
p.s. if you have anymore questions, do be afraid to p.m. me or email me!

RE: former honda owner new mazda owner
Thanks for the info Dentinger I really like this site good info and seems like a good community of people. What is funny is that i work at honda as a mechanic and i bought a mazda. I realy like what mazda has done, and i believe the mazda has a better throttle response than alot of hondas, actually it has a better response than the new si by far, might not beat it in the 1/4 but it would deff beat it at the line. Thanks again for all the info
