How's the fuel consumption now? I might try Pulstar pulse plugs to improve fuel consumption. I read from another forum that his Tribute V6 improved fuel consumption to 7-8 kpl. Good improvement considering I only get 5 kpl until now.

Pulsar plugs won't do a thing to improve fuel economy; save your money and use OEM spec plugs.

shipo - thanks. Will take your advice. Was raring to order online yesterday!

Btw, any advice on how to improve my current fuel consumption -> 11.7 mpg (5 kpl)? I have a Tribute 3.0 V6 2004 4x2.

Based upon an earlier post of yours it sounds like the above fuel economy numbers for for city driving. Yes, no?

While they sound a bit on the low side, when combined with your earlier reported highway numbers they really don't sound too far out of line. I suppose it's possible you have a sensor or two nearling the end of its useful life, but until the OBC-II system reports a fault, it will be difficult to diagnose which sensor or sensors are worth looking at/replacing; that is, unless you feel like blindly throwing parts at a problem which may or may not exist.

Yes 11.7 mpg (city) and 17.6 (hi-way) .. really on the low side.

Thanks I might drop by to my favorite repair shop soon and have the computer check existing faults. =)
