2002 Tribute Trans broke?

02 Tribute Engine runs fine. Car won't move more than 15 ft in gear.
Code reader picked up a P1744 code.
Is the tranny gone or is this fixable?

Toll this is a shot in the dark but it might put you on the right track.
Torque converter solenoid pak.
