Default Front License Plate

This may sound trivial but I just purchased my 02 Tribute and it came from a state that requires only rear license plates and I live in a state that requires front and back plates. I need to install a bracket to facilitate a front plate since the vehicle as it stands now has none. I have been told to go to a dealer and purchase a factory mount, just drill a couple of holes and screw it on, and etc.

Suggestions anyone on how it should be properly done?

Default RE: Front License Plate

Had a simular situation with my 06. Look very closley at the front bumper where a plate would usually be placed. You may need a magnifiying glass, but look for two small dimples (or indentations) spaced about 4 to 5 inches apart. These indentations are the starter holes for screwing in the topportion of your plate. There are plastic lug type supports behind the bumper at these locations to secure the upper screws. Could not find a spot for the bottom screws. I went to WallMart and bought a $3.50 mounting bracked and got the job done.

Good luck.
