In my never ending search for the vacuum leak i have found that if i blow into the bottom hole, the one the exhaust line enters, the air i blow for the most part comes out the hole that goes to the throttle body. I have tested the diaphram and it holds vacuum very well. I have soaked the pintel and valve seat for a few hours in carb cleaner and it appears at this point to have helped a little. I now have to blow much harder and only a tiny bit of air comes out. I will now let it soak over night. Is it meant to be that a tiny amount of exhaust gas passes the closed valve or should there be none at all. Thanks
"EGR is typically not employed at high loads because it would reduce peak power output. This is because it reduces the intake charge density. EGR is also omitted at idle (low-speed, zero load) because it would cause unstable combustion, resulting in rough idle."
