Hello everyone! i am a newbie to the site.

I have a 2001 tribute V6 4wd, I have had this problem for about 2 years now and I really dont know what to do. On a cold start the car idles very rough, I have replaced the IAC 2 times already for the erratic idle that these things get. I replaced the upper intake manifold gaskets as well. Should I have looked into the lower gaskets too? Can anyone please help me out and give me some info on this? Any help is appreciated.

 

I have had a similar problem with our 04 V6, but more precisely stalling at idle after warming up. Discovered the problem today. There is a hose located behind the vacuum manifold that apparently is notorious for collapsing and then leaking at the top of the 90 deg downward turn. Understand it is an easy fix, but I'm not sure how far this hose travels yet. I wrapped it with tape for a quick fix, but plan on a permanent replacement tomorrow. Hope this helps.
