2002 Tribute Headlights Not Working
The headlights on my 2002 Tribute will not turn on. When I move the light switch to the first position the running lights come on, but nothing happens when I move the switch to the second position. I don't drive the car often, but my wife told me the problem started a few days ago. At first she had to actuate the switch several time to get the lights to turn on and by the third day they wouldn't work at all. Hitting the brights does not do anything. I also noticed that the fog lights will not come on. The light on the fog light button never illuminates. I don't think this could be a fuse issue, but I checked them nonetheless and they are fine. Light switch assembly? Relay(s)? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: 2002 Tribute Headlights Not Working
Just in case this problem pops up for anyone else, I'll go ahead and answer my own question. It was the headlight relay, not the light switch that caused the headlights and the fog lamps to die. I changed the light switch first and the situation did not change. I didn't think it was the relay because the fog lamps have a separate relay, but after a second look at the wiring diagram I realized the hot wire goes through the relay and powers both the headlights and the fog lamps. A $10 fix.
