Default 2001 Tribute wont start...no electrical...security shut down?

Walked up to my tribute today and it was making a clicking sound from the driver side door/under steering column area without even touching the vehical? Clicking stopped when I pressed the brake peddle. When I put the key in to try to start it I had no electrical response at all (no lights, horn, door locks, dash, etc...) After charging the battery for a bit the only responses I got were the flashing door ajar and the security key symbols on the dash. I have a Valet 561R remote starter which is located where the clicking sound might have been coming from. PLEASE HELP!!! My thoughts it could be a security shut down of some sort? Blown fuse? Anyone hear of anything like this happening?

Something caused the battery to drain while you were gone. You charged it a little bit but maybe not enough. The clicking sounds came from a relay, which one I don't know.

Charge the battery completely, then give it a try. If it doesn't work you will have to check all circuits for a short.

I have no experience with alarm systems but there are plenty stories out there where they made trouble.
