Not having a sway bar won't hurt anything mechanically on your car; all it will do is mess up handling during extreme maneuvers.

How about my underbody engine cover. My engine bay is all rusted up.

Some say the engine cover will help, others feel it is a detriment; personally I've taken the cover off two of my Mazdas and I'll probably take it off our current Mazda3 soon. If nothing else, it gets in the way when you're trying to change the oil and filter.

the under body cover? it sounds like youre talking about the top appearance cover.
so should i take out most of the components and scrub off the rust or just ignore it?
I was planning on scrubbing it then spraying with rustoleum

I was talking about the engine cover which runs from the bottom of the front bumper back to roughly the firewall, under the engine.

well that's counter intuitive...
i would think my alternator and radiator/ac parts would be too exposed and was wondering about other potential cons due to no cover. Do you power wash under your car or apply undercoat?

Cars have been running around for many-MANY decades with no cover under the engine and have operated just fine. The reason for the covers is to try and smooth the airflow under the vehicle to gain .0002 mpg.

As for power washing under the car or using undercoat, nope, none of the above.
