i have a mazda rx8 and i want to use it for track use and there is not enougth power in the engine ive looked at turbos and superchargers ect but they dont seem worth it i want to know if there are any good engine swaps out there can someone please tell me including the price and the power specs cheers

 

If you planned on tracking the car and wanted more power, but didn't want to go forced induction, why did you buy an RX-8?

A turbo kit for an RX-8 is more than worth it, anyway.

 

because of the side port design of the renesis engine, a lot of people are having good luck with supercharger kits. if you want an engine swap, you could look into either motors out of the cosmo. the 13b-re and the 20b are both good swaps, but you need deep pockets to drop either one in.
