Grim reaper, thanks for the reply. If you read my post #7 you will see the stealership charged me 80 dollars, for a diagnostic, whereafter the service manager said I needed a new engine due to low compression. Someone else chimed in and said a compression test runs 170.00 at the dealer. When I changed the plugs, wires etc., I know for a fact the plugs were not removed by that dealer. For one thing, it had four trailing plugs in it. I`m sure he would have said something about that, plus with the pop you hear and feel when removing a plug that`s been in awhile I know they weren`t removed. There`s no other way to check for low compression. Needless to say, I can`t trust that dealership with my car. I noticed the first thing they do is run the VIN# when you bring it in, so I`m sure if I took it to the other dealership across town, the previous service and diagnosis from dealer 1 would pop up for dealer 2. Can anyone be trusted these days? As a recap, the car has been running great since I got it running and I`m having a hard time believing this engine can have low compression. What say you?

I had to change dealerships because the service manager was an idiot. I put in NGK NTK O2 sensors as well as changed the bad designed "T" crossover pipe under the engine to a proper "Y" and smoothened out the pipe bends. He told me I had to put back in Mazda OE O2 sensors and crossover pipe. Well Mazda uses NGK spark plugs i believe. The "T" crossover pipe mostly caused my misfire situation, and my lean code was actually the brake booster of which they missed.
Needless to say i moved to dealership across town and they were great. They did find my lean code which was brake booster leak and later did warranty a cracked exhaust manifold/pre-cat.
You need to go somewhere else for your own piece of mind.
