Default Couple Questions about RX8

Since i'm going to be getting a new rx8, had a couple questions:
1. When I'm getting gas at the gas station, does this car need to stay on? or do i shut it off?

2. I know they were telling me to let the engine get warm before shutting it off, and also to check the oil about every other time i fill up the gas tank, but say I go to the gas station, shut my car off, after a few minutes when im done, is it alright to start the car back up then and just drive off?

Might sound like stupid questions lol, just want to make sure i do everything correctly.

you definitely need to shut the car off when you pump gas. it is fine to jump in and go if the motor is already warm, so don't worry about that. it's just important to not constantly take short trips in your car. that is the short of it.

alright that sounds good, thanks. also, by short trips im guessing you mean starting up the car when the engine is cold, and then driving say just up my street a block or two and then shutting it off right?

Exactly. Always drive far enough to get up to operating temp or let it warm up on it's own before you go anywhere.
