01 Protege MP3 - Couple engine questions?

Default 01 Protege MP3 - Couple engine questions?
I bought a 01 Protege MP3 2.0L. It has 112K on the motor. Do these motors last long? It seems to have a slight tick, is that normal and can I adjust the lifters? And if you know of any thing else to look out for feel free to let me know.
