Confused
I was going to order a 2006 to hear they were postponed because of new production lines.
So Ive been told I will order a 2007 in may and recieve it in july in dallas. Now I read where ppl have bought 2006 RX_8's and received them this year if so I'm sry for ya WHAT is the real deal? Anyone?

I was told they are arriving sometime next mointh to Mazda dealers, but the dealerships have to swap out the spark plugs (to something else to help prevent flooding) upon arrival before they sell it to customers.
I am confused as well. We have several and have had them for awhile. There is a Final Quality Inspection Program for 2006 RX8 that entails basic checks as well of replacment of the spark plugs with updated parts. Plugs in lot vehicles tend to get fouled up due to jocking cars around and never getting them warmed up and driven correctly.
Boris and Natasha. Did not locate any Mazda dealers in Kansas but Bob Sight Mazda in Kansas City, MO has two 2006's. A silver one and red one, both with 6speed manual trans. Blue Ridge Mazda in Raytown, MO has a black 6 speedNot sure why your local dealer would tell you that unless they hoped to sell you one once they got some in so you did not go to purchase somewhere else.

My wife test drove a RX_8 at Davis Moore in wichita at the end of Feb. The second week of March we went back so I could look , but it was sold and they informed us that they had just ordered a bunch of 2006 models, alas none of which I wanted. I proceeded to call Freeman Mazda in Dallas, since I have family there and they still have 11 2005 models left on the lot as of today, again none that we wanted. He then informed us the the dealer was going to wait till May or early june to order the new 2007 models "as told to them from Mazda" and we were welcome to order what we wanted at that time along with their order.
I guess I was just looking for some one knowledgable to confirm or deny what weve been told as I see so many conflicting stoies in the forums here and elsewhere. Thx for your posts
