Default Automatic Or Manual?

It would be my first car and I'm torn. I want to have the most fun driving possible and I know that Manual is the way to go there but I also don't want to be overwhelmed. I'm leaning for Manual but I was wondering what you all thought. Oh, yeah, I'm new here.

well it all depends on how you are going to be annoyed. manuals are very fun to drive, i've driven both manual and automatic vehicles. But here in Pennsylvania, there are so many damn hills and the fact that people roll up right on your *** at a stop sign while on a hill gets to be a pain in the ****. Depending on how you are looking at things performance wise, you can have an automatic shift faster than a manual in a race if you tamper with a new ECU/PCM. If you want a badass sounding exhaust, a manual makes them sound very nice with that shifting if you do it smoothly! very cool effect! it's really up to you and what you think is more comfortable for you. I would highly recommend a manual just for the mere fun factor, but the hills in my area ruined that for me! [:@]

simply put, if you want an Rx-7 you should get a manual, they aren't cars that should have an auto.

Manual...you'll regret buying an automatic RX7.

Edit: Great minds think alike, Turbo II.

That was my general feeling too. I'm gonna learn how to drive a manual just for emergencies and stuff, but as long as I know how I might as well get a car that uses manual. Plus it makes you feel like your more part of the drive.

Manual all the way. I swapped out my auto, & it is a whole different car.

I guess nothing much to add now.

I love my little 323 manual 5speed, can take on most little Honda CRXs. I love the responde and the power being there when I need it.

Only draw back you can't really drink a large while you are not driving on the highway, can't tell you how many times I had to have someone with my just so they can hold my drink after we leave some fast food place.

But other than that I love the feel of it, just don't burn out your clutch you will be looking at a pretty good price tag for a new one. lol when I got the car mine was messed up and after about a year mine finally gave but now i have a better one and its as right as rain.

Auto is great for a long drive, but I still will want my 5speed any day.
