Hey, just got my first rotary, gen1 83 rx7 gsl model, which I am proud of myself for finding, lol. Anyway, never had a rotary before and this is the oldest car I've ever owned(last one was an 87 BMW), so if anyone has any tips on what to watch for, etc, it'd be helpful. Right now I'm in the process of rebuilding the carb and such since it had been sitting a while and the gas went bad, gumming up the carb. So far, everything else seems to be great on it. I do have one issue, neither of the blinkers are working, interior or ext, so hoping its a fuse, but if anyone knows of any other cause, cool.

 

welcome to the rotary community. there is a possibility that it is the switch itself. these older rotaries had issues with the cold soldering process with some of their electronics.

check the fuses first though.
